  • A passive solar home set in a natural, peaceful, simple and pleasant environment.

Michèle and Nicolas wanted to create a corner of paradise to fully enjoy their land in Lanaudière and retire there in a few years.

Their house has a peaceful, slightly rural atmosphere, where simplicity and living an easygoing lifestyle take center stage. The three-season room, full of light and wood, has an atmosphere that invites you to sit by the fire to relax and admire nature.

The tranquility of the place shines through, with a beautiful view of the land and sunlight coming through from all sides. The ground floor sits on a slab foundation (818 square foot) and the second floor is located in the attic (579 sqaure foot). This is an economical way to create living space, while blending perfectly with the nature of the land and the rock outcrops.

One bedroom is located on the ground floor, in order to make the house fully functional as it ages. The second floor is designed to accommodate, in a second phase of the project, two more bedrooms and a bathroom.

This project was carried out jointly with Michèle and Nicolas, who took care of the interior finishes. The result is a home that is pleasant to live in and is in line with the serene environment.
