  • The house of Emeline and Vincent is unique and embodies a strong aesthetic vision for an ecological habitat totally anchored in nature.

Three floors make up this habitat to create a home where comfort, ergonomics and views of nature prevail. Everything in this house maximizes light entry, while creating areas of privacy.

Wooden elements that were tailor-made and chosen with love, bring warmth to the space, without veering off from the contemporary design that the owners were looking for.

On the outside, most of the wood was left in its natural state which will allow it to turn grey with time, blending completely with the landscape. Sun visors adorn the facade while helping to maximize the thermal comfort of the house during the summer.

An emphasis was put on creating generous volumes and combining it with an optimization of the surface area for each room. This home was designed for the long term and meant to welcome the owners’ multiple projects. The basement, which is scalable, adapts to the mountainous terrain and accommodates an autonomous professional space.

Any house that sits on an unused land automatically has an impact on it, reshaping the environment and the nature that surrounds it. This is a given. It is therefore essential to minimize its impact.

This project was built with this in mind. Trees were kept even some that were very close to the house. This gives a very organic feel to the home and allows for breathtaking views of nature all year long.
